OUR MISSION

We provide quality, affordable housing and promote sustainable building practices. GreenScope is committed to helping its tenants live greener. Low carbon emissions, energy efficiency, and water conservation are of paramount importance. This commitment can be seen in both the structure of the buildings and in our policies, creating a more positive living and renting experience for our tenants (and lower utility bills).

We’ve made our mark, but there’s a long way to go

So far, we’re proud of the projects we’ve completed. here are some of the highlights of how the products we use and renovations we’ve completed have helped reduce our carbon foot print.

  • Energy star appliances to reduce energy use by varying percentages.
  • Bamboo flooring, a renewable resource is twice as sturdy and which saves 1 tree per 100 sq feet of flooring area…or approximately 8 trees for a typical 2 bedroom apartment.
  • Low Flow toilets to reduce water usage saving on average 17 gallons of water per day or 6,205 gallons per year.
  • Dual flush toilets reducing water usage even further to up to 19.4 Gallons per day or 7,081 gallons per year.
  • Replacement windows with low-e glass and/or argon gas to significantly reduce heating and cooling costs
  • High Efficiency Boilers and Furnaces with efficiency ratings of up to 98% for major reduction in energy and fossil fuel use as well as reduction in utility cost.

“Josh is one of the best landlord’s we’ve ever had and his commitment to the environment is impressive and extremely beneficial to us financially. Most property owner’s go the cheapest route, Josh always keeps sustainability in mind when remodeling and renovating homes for his tenants.”
— Tenant of 174 Burns Road

“Josh is a great landlord. As a college student who had never rented before, I was honestly pretty nervous about getting an apartment and having a landlord. But Josh was super understanding of that. He is patient, kind, and understanding. When other college students talk about their experiences with nightmare landlords, I cannot relate. Because of Josh’s kindness and professionalism as a landlord, my roommates and I decided to renew our lease at 207 Kelvin. Josh works quickly and effectively when changes or work are needed for the apartment. The individuals he hires like Jason are always friendly. He also offers a lot of utilities and extras that other landlords in the area do not. I have had a great experience in a convenient, affordable location on campus with a great landlord.”

Below are the people who help keep a physical roof over our tenants heads and everything under those roofs running smoothly. The people pictured on this page ARE NOT employees of GreenScope Properties,LLC. Greenscope Properties does not actually have any employees, but there are a number of contractors that do jobs off and on for the business whenever a project comes up or when a maintenance issue arises. Any one of these people may arrive to a property at the behest of GreenScope should there be a maintenance concern. This is not, by any means, a complete list of people that do work for GreenScope. If you have questions about the authenticity of a person who has arrived at your apartment to perform work, please call the office.
