Buying a Home

While I do list houses for sale, I much prefer to do Buyer’s agency and I specialize in this somewhat. Having lived in this area my whole life I am very knowledgeable about every area of the City as well as areas outside of the city and the surrounding communities, I can find the perfect spot for you to live.

To start I usually sit down with my clients to assess their housing needs. We go through everything they want in a house as well as their budget, and any specific areas they may be interested in. I try to narrow things down as much as possible from the beginning so as not to waste my client’s time showing them houses that aren’t right for them.

Once I have a good idea of what they are looking for, I will send my clients some listings I think would be right for them and if they approve then we can schedule visits to the houses in question. I usually sit down with my clients again after the first round of showings to narrow down their search a bit further. Often the first showings help clarify what they are looking for so that further showings are even more productive. Sometimes we find “the one” immediately, sometimes it takes many showings, but I am committed to finding the perfect house for my clients no matter how long it takes.

Pricing

I work for commission which is a percentage of the sales price of the home in question. In the case of Buyer’s agency, this service comes at no cost to the buyer because I share in the commission that the listing agent receives from the Seller. The Listing agent typically shares their commission with the agent for the Buyer.
